Kadir abimizle buluştuk.
Ekrem İmamoğlu’nun tutuklanmadan bir gün önce açılışını yaptığı Kadir İnanır Sinema Salonu‘nu da gezdik, en son Nürnberg ziyaretinden ortak anılarımızı konuştuk, o hatırlattı, biz güldük, biz hatırlattık, o güldü. Selahattin Demirtaş’ı andık. Bu buluşmamızdaki sohbetimizi içeren bir filminin salonda sergilenen afişinin fotoğrafını ve 2019 yılı Nürnberg festivalinden fotoğraflarımızı paylaşıyorum. Kendisini önümüzdeki Mart ayındaki 30. kez düzenleyeceğimiz film festivalimize de davet ettik. Zaman bulabilirse, gelecek tabii ki. Bugünkü buluşmamız özel mi özeldi.

We met with our dear elder brother, Kadir İnanır.
We also visited the Kadir İnanır Cinema Hall, inaugurated by Ekrem İmamoğlu just one day before his arrest. We talked about moments from Kadir Abi’s last visit to Nuremberg – he reminded us of some, and we laughed; we reminded him of others, and he laughed even more. We remembered Selahattin Demirtaş, perhaps the greatest political talent in Turkey today. I’m sharing a photo of a poster from one of Kadir Abi’s films, displayed in the hall – it somehow captured the spirit of our conversation – along with photos from the 2019 Nuremberg Film Festival. We’ve also invited him to join us for the 30th Film Festival, coming up next March.
If time allows, he’ll be there – no doubt about it.
